I figured I'd start a gallery type of thread of our RC sessions, for those that don't fit in with the project builds.

Dolopap and I went to Liliuokalani Park again this past weekend, and brought out all three brushless Revos. I gave my camera to his 6 year old daughter Mia, and she took some surprisingly brilliant photos of us and the park. (:

pulled off an epic spill yesterday while jumping, I ripped out two ball joints on the same side of the truck.

Posted Image
front one is always coming off due to pulling it out the first day I finished the LST diff swap, but now the rear one popped out too. it was much harder to get back in.

We went to the Mauna Kea Visitor's Center yesterday, and on the way back to Hilo we pulled a short detour. Shade and I spent 20 minutes or so playing with ERBE on the rocks and dirt.

unfortunately, it was extremely cloudy. usually you would be able to see the access road climbing up the mountain from here.

went to Kona this week with Malcolm, and stopped by in Waimea to have a Revo bash sessh. I took several photos of the fixed O-Revo body (LEDs work now!).

Geez has it really been a year since we've done something? Shame shame...

This past Saturday, we were fortunate enough to have amazing weather so we went out around lunchtime for some RC fun

doing some racing

there's a pretty great D-shaped oval track right by the entrance to the Civic parking lot

Sunday had rainy weather, but the sun peeked out just long enough for us to go hunting for some dry spots to play around in. Behind the Hilo rubbish dump we passed some construction sites that were empty for the day, and they were dry enough to blast around on.

Posted Image
we used some ponchos in pouches as corner markers

ERBE missing the turn... (oops)

...and then destroying the marker

Posted Image
a wider shot of the track we set up, the top two markers were to the right of the camera shot.

Posted Image
doing some full-throttle starts. there was some rough new asphalt laid out to the right of the site, I kept away from it cause I know what happens when you catch unexpected traction...

Posted Image
only destroyed part this weekend was RHER's spur gear. I think the slipper was a little too loose so it melted and stripped.

pretty fun weekend, hope to do it again sometime.
