So, aaronyg is in the process of buying the guts of O-Revo, but as planned we will be converting it into true E-Revo Brushless Edition spec (Mamba Monster + 1515 1Y). This thread will chronicle the evolution of O-Revo into A-Revo. :D

So far, all this needs is lipos, E-transmission, E-chassis and the electric center shafts. Other than that, it's a straight transplant.

Chassis, shafts, transmission and supporting components all bought today. Also, I ordered some 2s lipos from Hobbyking, 6000mAh 25-50C Nanotechs. Hopefully they all come in soon and we can get A-Revo up and running asap.

also did the rear body mount brace mod.

All there is to do now is to wait for the Mamba Monster to come in.

I measured their cell voltage and all of them are roughly the same 3.80v.

So for various reasons, A-Revo will currently be run with a Tekin RX8 ESC.

getting it in the mail

Unboxing. for being used, it's in very good shape except for the fan

Posted Image
It's a lot bigger than I expected.

Posted Image
Not quite the same shape as the Mamba Monster, so I'm gonna have to use a custom mounting solution (doublestick tape) rather than the tie-down.

Everything installed

wires are kind of a mess, unfortunately

Posted Image
I'm not sure if I'm gonna clean up the wiring (adapters) as I doubt it'll pull enough current geared as low as it is 16/68 (low as it can possibly go) to make a difference.

It's ready to go!
